PROGRAM STRUCTURE

The program kicks off in January with a 3-Day immersive nature retreat in Joshua Tree National Park.

Then, to keep the momentum going, there are weekly virtual group sessions where you will learn mindfulness practices, build community and explore your inner landscape.

Group Mentorship

Weekly calls where you will cultivate mindfulness and presence as you start off the year with intention.

Led by a licensed therapist, you will have time to set goals and check in. Groups are kept small and intimate with no more than 12 members so you can connect deeply with your fellow adventurers.

3-Day Nature Retreat

A weekend together on the land with time to practice the mindfulness skills you have learned.

Kick off 2024 with a glamping style retreat in Joshua Tree, CA. Immersed in nature spend time meditating, journaling, and discussing your goals and intentions for the new year around the fire at night.

Zoe Gillis, MFT (She/her)

Zoe is a licensed therapist and has been running groups for over 10 years. She has been guiding people backpacking for 15 years, and teaching mindfulness and meditation at corporate companies and conferences for the past 4 years. She is equally passionate about exploring our external world through backpacking as she is our internal landscape, both as a way to grow and learn.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • There are a limited number of spots in the group, so once the group has started there are no refunds.

    If you change your mind before Oct. 1st you can receive a full refund minus $100 processing fee.

    If you are planning on attending the retreat and for some reason you are unable to make the retreat, you can transfer the credit to a future retreat.

  • No. This is a live, in the moment group where you will be invited to share and discuss how the material relates to your life. To keep what you share confidential and held within the space it was shared, the calls will not be recorded.

    That being said, there will be short talks on topics of the week that will recorded along with meditations. This will all be housed on the Hey Marvelous Platform.

  • The group calls will be 1.5 hours. There will be a mixture of journaling, a short talk on the topic of the week, time to share, and time spent meditating.

  • Showing Up For Group

    The biggest part of group is showing up. Of course, sometimes life happens and it is rare to be able to make every single group. However, it is helpful to make the decision before you start to commit to showing up for every group you are able to make, even if some days it feels hard.

    Time Between Group

    One of the aspects of this 3 month group is the commitment to developing a meditation practice and healthy habits during out time together. You will be asked to practice the following between groups:

    • 1 min of meditation a day

    • 15 - 20 min meditation once per week

  • Group will be held on ZOOM Tuesday from 6 - 7:30. There is a possibility that there will be an option for a different morning time group depending on peoples availability.

  • Most people long for community. And also, it’s scary

    After the last couple of years, and what we have all been through, spending time in community is invaluable.

    But I get it, it can be scary too.

    The groups are designed with an abundance of care to make sure that this is a time for you to work on yourself, while also being held in community.

    People range from their mid/late 20’s - early 50’s and come from all walks of life.

    There will be people in the group who you connect deeply with, and others who you might never have connected with if it weren’t for this opportunity.

    This is intentional. The time is about being surrounded by people who might think differently and be in a totally different place than you, and to find the beauty and gifts that come from the shared experience to live a life with less fear and more openness.
